Events
Biennial Gala
Since 1985, the Foundation has held a biennial gala event to support the services Mercy provides to the community. This year's event is the Flappers & Flivvers. The event will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2005 at County Bank Island, a.k.a. Scout Island at Lake Yosemite in Merced. The evening will start at 6:30pm with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres and the opportunity to view vintage cars at the Concourse d'Elegance sponsored by Prine Construction. A filet mignon & salmon dinner starts at 7:30pm followed by a petite auction. At 9:00pm, you can dance the night away to the sounds of the Surefire Band sponsored by MFA Medical Group, Inc. and visit one of many specialty bars around County Bank Island. Tickets are $125 per person or $2000 to sponsor a table of ten. Proceeds benefit the Mercy Emergency Department.

The Heritage Club
The Heritage Club was established in 1992 to provide a permanent
source of funding for programs to benefit Mercy Medical Center
Merced through annual membership contributions and the development
of long-term giving bequests. The Heritage Club offers both
education and information about the hospital, retirement planning,
and charitable giving in order to develop "people with a passion"
for quality local healthcare services. Membership in the Heritage
Club is on an annual basis; cost is $100 per family or individual.

"A Star Is Born" Baby Wall of Fame
"A Star Is Born" Baby Wall of Fame located adjacent to our
Maternity Services Department is a great way to honor a special
baby born at Mercy. It's a colorful display of a rainbow and silver
stars, each one inscribed with a child's name and date of birth.
Cost of the star is $100, and all monies go to provide maternity
and pediatric care equipment.

The Tree of Life
The Tree of Life represents cumulative gifts starting at $500.
Cumulative gifts totaling $2,000 or more are recognized on our
Benefactor Wall adjacent to the Tree of Life. This memorial project
not only remains a symbol of Mercy Medical Center's growth within
the community, but reflects the hospital's dedication to life
through a commitment to provide both quality and compassionate
health care
